A large, dark figure stood on top of the hill and looked around. Her name was Hallow, and she was a newcomer to these lands. So far, what she saw was pleasing. The lush green grass on the hill, speckled with flowers...clear blue sky...sun...a breeze that lightly ruffled her thick fur.... She sighed contentedly and lay down on the grass, breathing in the fresh scent of it, and relishing the feel of the sun and the wind. She could smell the scents of other dogs, and wondered if she would like them....and if they would like her....

Up in the trees above, came a purring noise. Out of the leaves jumped an old cat. She smiled at the new dog and lay down in some clover, below her paws. She had travelled far and knew the four main area well. "Hello." she purred, her warming voice filling the quiet surroundings.

Hallow raised her head and looked around. A patchy cat was lying down in a patch of clover quite close by. Hallow had met cats before, and found them to be interesting creatures indeed. They had such diverse personalities! Some were quite fierce, and could give even a big dog like her a few nasty scratches, but this one looked and sounded rather nice.
"Hello", she replied. "My name is Hallow- who are you?"

"Nice to meet you Hallow. Im Mustard" she replied in a friendly tone, flicking her tail to and fro. She studied Hallow's pelt with intrest. It was mainly dark with brown and cream splotches. The dog's eyes were a golden brown - it reminded her of the colour a setting sun makes on tree bark. Mustard looked up at the blinding sun above her silver head "Noon." she murmered to herself. "Well, sorry to leave so soon, Hallow - but I need my afternoon nap." she said, disapearing up into a dense wall of leaves the trees above had formed.
A dog padded up the hill slowly. A noise had disturbed his rest and he'd come to see what it was. He looked up and was a cat tail swinging left and right. Shaking his head he looked back and saw a fae. "Oh, I didn't see you there..." Oreo stuttered

Hallow stood up and stretched. Mustard had left for a nap, but she herself was feeling an urge to explore farther. She had heard that there was a lake around somewhere, and in her black coat, the heat was getting a little uncomfortable..... Turning to go, she caught sight of another dog standing nearby. But the urge to explore was strong, and she didn't want to talk. Big though she was, speed and silence were a talent of hers, and after smiling briefly at the other dog, she disappeared into the shadows, her dark fur seeming to blend and merge with them, and left the hill.

Oreo smiled back and turned to follow the fae. He had a feeling he should follow her... Oreo sighed and began to bound after her, his light coat getting pulled about in the breeze. A few minute later, he found the faes scent had dissapered. He sighed and decided she'd gone to the forest...
